Our client, a leader in data security and data protections, headquartered in the San Francisco Bay Area, has exclusively retained Solutus to assist in the hiring of a Senior Corporate Counsel/Director to join the legal team.

The successful candidate will have 8-10+ years of experience drafting and negotiating inbound and outbound commercial contracts.  The person in this role will have the opportunity to work on a broad variety of agreements including licensing agreements, procurement agreements, data processing agreements, and channel agreements worldwide for the company’s technology portfolio. Experience in privacy and data protection laws including HIPAA, GDPR and FINRA is a plus.

This position will work closely with sales, marketing, operations, and finance to develop and negotiate strategic agreements.  This position will report to the Deputy General Counsel.

Responsibilities will include:

• Review, draft and negotiate inbound and outbound commercial contracts.
• Provide legal support and guidance for internal functions, including marketing, sales and operations.
• Support the continuous improvement of standard form agreements, internal review processes, and other legal policies and operations.
• Support product and regulatory compliance.
• Manage contract administration database.
• Handle special projects as requested.
