Our client, a publicly traded, global enterprise solutions company, has exclusively retained Solutus Legal Search to assist the executives in their search for a top-notch Deputy General Counsel. This person will report directly to the Chief Legal Officer (who is great!) and serve as a true #2 in the department in charge of a wide range of responsibilities. The company is located in Milpitas, California and the attorney in this role will be asked to be in-office three days a week (there is flexibility as to actual schedule).

The ideal candidate will have 8-12+ of legal experience, including strong experience structuring, drafting, negotiating and closing large commercial transactions and working on complicated, multi-party business development deals. This attorney will have management responsibilities and interface with executives in the organization on a variety of legal matters.  In-house experience is required.

This attorney must possess a positive attitude and strong work ethic, have excellent verbal and written communication skills and have sound business and legal judgment. They must have the ability to prioritize and be collaborative and flexible and the ability to take on matters outside their area of expertise and work effectively with outside counsel as needed.

The current targeted base salary for this position is in the range of $300,000 -$320,000 base salary, plus target bonus and equity. Actual compensation will be determined based on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications and years of directly relevant experience.
