Our client, a well-funded, cutting-edge technology company, seeks to hire an experienced corporate attorney to join its small, but growing, legal team. This attorney will lead the corporate securities and governance function within the legal department. This role is remote, and candidates can work from home, but must have the ability to travel to company headquarters in San Francisco, periodically.
The ideal candidate for this role will have practiced law for at least 8 years with heavy emphasis advising on corporate governance and drafting and reviewing securities filings, including ’34 Act filings. This attorney must be qualified to practice law in the state in which they practice. This attorney must be able to work independently, think creatively and flexibly, and provide practical legal solutions to executives. Our client will consider candidates coming directly from a law firm, but in-house experience is preferred.
Our client seeks a go-getter with the ability to quickly build rapport with business teams. The legal department is extremely collegial and friendly with a good sense of humor. The ideal candidate will thrive in such an environment. This is an outstanding opportunity for the right attorney to take on interesting work and assume a great deal of responsibility at a fast-paced, creative, high-growth, and disruptive company. Our client offers competitive compensation, including equity and benefits. Title and compensation will be dependent on directly relevant experience.
